i had an amazing stay at relais hotel du vieux. the staff were absolutely marvellous and went above and beyond to help. the room was quite spacious for the area, with a lovely mezzanine and large bathroom. the location in the latin quarter was perfect, close to excellent restaurants and just a stroll away from notre dame.

However, the small elevator was a bit of a challenge, especially after a long day of exploring the beautiful streets of Paris.

The furnishings were subpar, making it feel more like a budget hotel rather than the pleasant experience I had hoped for. Moreover, we felt cheated after discovering we paid significantly more than what was advertised for the same room type. The lack of management on-site and the staff's insufficient response to our concerns added to the frustration.

I stayed for 3 nights in a Classic Double Room, which felt like it was a home away from home. The location was perfect for exploring, just a handful of minutes from the Seine and major attractions. I even got my ID card back from a rental shop thanks to the staff's very nice effort. Can't wait to go back!

One downside was the room size. it was a bit small for our liking. Keep this in mind if you plan on spending a lot of time indoors.
